Transfer a Design onto a Shirt

Materials in this tutorial:

• blank cotton shirt
• digital design
• EasyPress or a heat press
• Transfer Paper
• pressing pillow and Teflon sheet
• lint roller or tape

Trim Around the Image

After printing our image, we trimmed it and left white edge. You can cut closer if you'd like.

Prepare the Garment for Pressing

We lint-rolled and preheated the garment before pressing the design. It is also necessary to use a pressing pillow inside the shirt to get even pressure and avoid interference with the placket and buttons. We then placed the image to transfer over the shirt facing down. 

Press the Design

We used Teflon over the transfer to protect it when pressing. We pressed according to the instructions - 30 seconds at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Now it is time peel the top of the transfer sheet!
