Let's admit, adding a necktie to a kid's outfit takes it to a whole new level! Imagine being able to make it yourself and choosing a fun print that the child would love! This tutorial will help you create a personalized necktie in easy steps. For this project, you will need the following materials:
- 2 pieces of fabric 14" x 5" for the front and back of the tie
- 1 piece of fabric 5" x 4" for the knot of the tie
- scissors
- sewing machine
- thread
Prepare the Tie
Place the fabric for the front of the tie on top of the remaining 14" x 5" piece. Grab one corner of the pieces of fabric and fold them until they form a triangle shape. You can now cut that piece off.Prepare the Knot
Now it's time to work on the knot for the tie. Grab your 5" x 4" piece of fabric and fold it in half with the right sides facing each other. Sew along the 5" raw edge.
When folding the left side, make sure it overlaps the right side. Overlap it until the width of the bottom edge is equal to the width of the raw edge of the tie.

Join the Tie and Knot
Join the unfinished edges of the tie and the knot by sewing them together, as the image shows.Finish Your Project!
